Life Changing Stories with Melanie Cunnington
Video Transcription
Dave: So, Mel, what’s your role here at Anti-Aging Northwest?
Melanie Cunnington: My title is office manager, but I do a little bit of everything. I’m the main point of contact for patients. I’m Dr. Faler’s assistant. I help schedule. Any questions patients have, I’m there. So just a little bit of everything.
Dave: Tell me some stories that stand out to you, on people who have come to Dr. Faler, and just really have a transformative experience?
Melanie Cunnington: Oh, goodness. We have a lot of husband-and-wife situations that come into us… or come into our practice. And I would say, a lot of the times, one partner or the other partner is like, “We’re struggling. How can we benefit from this?” And when your hormones are off emotionally, physically, sexually, things just aren’t there.
And a lot of the times, give it five weeks, give it a few months, and relationships are healed a lot of the times, in many aspects. People feel better. They perform better at their jobs. So there’s a lot of testimonials, with just people living better lives, day to day. They come to us every day and say, “You guys have saved my life.” Weight loss is a huge one too. So there’s many aspects.
Dave: Dr. Faler mentioned a ripple effect, when one person in the family has a better experience because they’ve been treated, how it ripples to the rest of the family, and everything becomes better. Do you hear these stories as well?
Melanie Cunnington: Oh, goodness. All the time. Or a gentleman shows up to work and is raving about his current regimen with us, and then five, six of his coworkers are calling. And it totally is a ripple effect. You vibrate higher when you feel good. So I think a lot of the times, they hear those stories, and they want to feel that too. So a lot of the times, it is other people, or somebody just expressing their glow up, or however you want to describe it, and other people wanting to feel that too.
Dave: How has being around this industry changed the way you look at things, or maybe your habits in life, to lead a healthier life?
Melanie Cunnington: Oh, goodness. I feel like I’ve always been pretty health-driven, but also, when you’re in medicine, you learn so much, and it’s a ever-evolving field. So day to day, I feel like you’re learning something. I would say it’s made me a lot more mindful of what I’m putting into my body. Things that I feel like a lot of people my age kind of brush under the rug.
But just food, anything from body wash to shampoo to things like that, that you realize just aren’t necessarily the healthiest. And, of course, my children probably hate it because we eat a lot healthier than a lot of their friends and things like that. But it just made me more mindful.
